Thanks for the ideas, Tom.

>1. You said VFP is running on separate a separate machine. What happens with that or those machines?

Nothing, yet, but they've only been doing this for a few days. I assume those machines still lose resources over time, which is why they have to be rebooted now and then, like any other Windows box. But since the real ($) problems occur when the wp software screws up fonts due to lack of resources, we have disabled the VFP app on machines they are using to print resumes and disabled WP on the machine we left them for running VFP. We're adding machines to workaround the issue, but long-term want to be able to run either on any PC.

>2. Try disabling Norton Anti Virus, remove and reinstall the VFP application on the offending machine.

OK.

>3. Are there any graphics included with the VFP application?

Yes, there's a company logo that appears as a BMP in some of our reports. IDK whether they print any of those reports on these machines, but that's another good idea for something to check.

>4. Is there a Browser installed and used on the offending machines?

One department who has the trouble does also browse the Internet, the other department however is not allowed to. I guess that doesn't mean they might not try to open IE now and then to see whether they can do it though. I don't think IE has actualy been uninstalled on their machines, but that does give me another item to check.

>5. What VFP tech support are you working with?

Uh, the one at MS? I probably misunderstood your question here.

Yep, thanks. I'm still hoping to try one of the ram recovery tools to see whether that works. If it does, I'm certainly not above saying "who knows where the problem lies, but this makes it go away."
