>I wouldn't mind it so much if they'd change the whole thing at once. I realize change is a part of life and that the UT needs to keep attracting new people. But these incremental changes are driving me batty. I wish they'd just get the whole thing working offline to their satisfaction and then implement it.

My thoughts exactly... Though Michel tries to please all new users...

Anyway, I started a new document in Documents section, so we can share our opinions in a free manner there...

>>If we as developers were to make constant changes to a live application used by clients we would soon be out of a job! To top that off we add the impact of not testing (test the live product) and let the clients (us) give feed back about what does and does not work.
>>
>>Perhaps we could have the concept of a random number generator applied to the UT, and every time you bring up your Browser, a new user interface greets you?
>>
>>How about an area on the UT that is accessible, that defines a change was made? A list defining what was changed (a change list) with dates would be helpful. Perhaps there is one but I have not found it. We get those one time pop up survey forms on the UT. Why not a one-time pop up window that alerts you about changes?
>>
>>I know it takes effort to make code changes but a bit of communications goes a long way. I have always given first consideration to users of applications I have written. In my opinion it is a good policy and one that could be used by others. Put yourself in the users place and see how you like what you have written!
>>
>>Remember that old developer joke about the user who complained about the application not working? The developer asks: "What did you do"? The user replies: "I used the Control and C keys at the same time". Developers response:
>>"Oh - you should NEVER do that"! To me this change business on the UT is not far removed from that story.

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
