I went into MSDN, using the Index to find "HTML". Up came HTML, with a long list indented under it. Jackpot!
But then I clicked, for instance, 'comment tags' and got the technique for Basic commenting. Clicking on 'document properties' brings up a description of the "document properties" and its dialogue box for a Word/Office document.

In other words, very little about real true HTML.

Is there some other way to get at the references you speak of above?
