Maybe you are using the wrong control for the job < s >. Since the native VFP GETFILE() function already does what you want, how about creating a composite class with a textbox and a command button with 3 dots in a container. In the click of the command button, you could call GETFILE() to display a list of the desired files and return the one that the user has selected.

Just a thought here...
