I am having real problems with creating a Data Report on a table that contains parent and child records. I am using ADO to retrieve and write to the tables. I have read that I should be able to use the SHAPE command in order to make a hierarchical recordset. This looks as though it should do what I require. But I am unable to get the SHAPE command to work. I am using an Access database as the backend (I have no choice at present). Examples that I have seen all seem to use SQL Server, so maybe it is not possible in Access?
