Hi Bob,

Well, I didn't know I'd need the name of the DEFAULT contraint. I converted this database from VFP and didn't see the need for sp_bindefault when the DEFAULT clause was available. Especially since it wasn't dynamic. i.e. If I changed the default, the table didn't reflect the change. Also, in VFP ALTER TABLE is alot more powerful (read, does more for me <G>). So much more to learn... especially best practices.
