Can someone shed light on what is necessary to have an EXE shut down at a prescribed time of day and/or after a lapse of use. I would assume a timer could be used for the lapse of use, but I have two questions with it.

1. Where would the timer be set and how?

2. How do you deal with forms that may be opened and possibly in edit mode.

I'm playing with a timer which warns of an upcoming shutdown, and if they don't respond, it does close all tables and shuts down the EXE. However, I don't know how to initially start it or how to deal with the open forms.

Thanks for any help.
