>>Anyone know some websites about caring for notebooks. Our dept just 6, and I have never had much to do with them before. I would like to know about things such as:

>>1) How to care for the batteries to give the best life.
>>2) Can I remove PC cards with the power on
>>3) If the notebook is one, is it okay to pick it up and move it? How gentle do I need to be?

>Good questions, but I only know the answer to #2, and that is only if you are running Windows 2000. On my system, I have a little icon on the right side of the task bar that I double-click to remove hardware, such as my PC card and my USB device. I select the item in the list, then click on stop. If I try to remove it without going through this process, W2K gives me a warning.
We have NT4 on them, it doesn't appear to have this feature. One nice thing about the batteries is that they have a charge tester on them. Quite handy.
How do I charge the batteries when I am done with it? Do I have to turn the power on when I plug it in?
