>I have an application that normally is executed minimized, because it only visualizes data that are updated in other place, with a timer to check this information. I need to notify to the user when something happens, in visual way, not by a sound, for example with a messagebox, above any application.

Why not just open up a top-level form for the notification? Top-level forms appear independently of the main VFP screen, so that can stay minimized even when the top-level form is displayed. The only real disadvantage to this is that it will also have a presense in the taskbar.
