>>Can someone educate me on what is required for an SMTP server to use West Wind's SendMail function? I have IIS on a W2K machine. My default SMTP Virtual Server (from the MS Management Console) is called "brampserver". I tried specifying this as the cmailserver property of the wwipstuff class, but West Wind replies with a "cannot connect to server" error.

Ed,

Thanks for your reply. Where can I find a local SMTP server? If I wanted to use my ISP's SMTP Server, how do I open port 25. Am I running any security risks by doing so?

Thanks!
