I can see you right now sitting back in bathrobe (what a horrible thought), drinking coffee, etc. while I'm sitting here at the office, slaving away to try to piece this stuff back together, saying to yourself, "What a jamoke!";-). Does anyone still use that term?

>>>Actually, it's shorts and a tee, too hot for the robe. That comes in the cooler weather. Coffee, yup, two cups. And that's what you get for depending on the "net folks". Besides, you get paid anyways. Hey, what's with the "New York Carpet House" ads for a carpet company in the deep south? Smatter with you folks, can't admit you're in the south? The textile mills in the northeast closed decades ago. Never heard of jamoke, but it sounds like it fits this situation.

>>Waddya mean, "can't admit you're in the south"? I've never done anything to hide that fact. You're talking about good ole Mad Ave, folks in Dalton only want to sell carpet. And if there's a prejudice against things from the south, well...

>No prejudice against things in the south, hey I live in it's capital. Just wondering why the commercials selling Shaw Carpet don't advertise it as Shaw Carpet and instead label it as New York Carpet House.

Steve,

Marketing! We sell carpet under so many different brand names. Part of the reason is because of the acquisitions. In the last ten years Shaw has purchased a number of different manufacturers. But I think what you're refering to is the retail end of the business.
