I use to open tables/views in my form’s dataenvironment, filter records and run command REPORT FORM myreport PREVIEW. This way, I can preview my reports and print filtered records by clicking the print icon on the Print Preview Toolbar.

But now, I want to set up a more independent Report, it must open tables, filter records and make a print preview.

Where should I put the code to filter records? I have tried it in the Init Method but the print icon on the toolbar prints all records and ignores the filter expression.

I have also tried AutoCloseTables = .F., It works, but I want the tables to be closed when the report screen is closed.
