Hi!

View is really an SQl Select query (SELECT-SQL command in VFP). This query when runs cause reporting of running result when TALK is ON. Opening view - same as running query.

If you have something like a set of classes or even framework, make a routine in your prg of basic functions that will do all required settings. Than you can call this PRG from differet places in your application, so you will not repeat the same code in the BeforeOpenTables event of each data environment.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
