I can't imagine anyone with any amount of analytical ability getting too worked up over something one guy, unaffiliated with Microsoft, says he "suspects" will happen. In an internet newsgroup.

My comments were not intended to fuel rumors or even to say I think decoupling VFP from VS is overall a bad thing. There are some good technical arguments for going our own way. My concern is that from a *public relations* standpoint, the fallout from this announcement could be pretty bad. Those who have been burying FoxPro for years have just been handed what they will undoubtedly consider to be a sign that the end is nigh. Microsoft did that, not me.
