Ismael,
From ESRI there is MapObjects activex control. You can download an evaluation version + samples from their side (now they even have a VFP sample - maybe it's what you're after for it demonstrates thematic mapping).
I could do things with it like a rough screen digitizing, creating a recordset, finding a path, chart rendering, playing with polygons etc.(if you'd do pathfinding beware they dropped the PathFinder object in version 2.0 and you should download a separate DLL - also available on site). Bad news prices are high.
