I talked about this issue no long ago. I could not find a good solution for it then. I found more information on what causes it and hopefully someone would be able to help: this application was coverted from 2.x to 3.0 vfp. It runs on a novell network. It had been working fine until recently individual record was locked up and it is not released until the first user exit out from the application. I traced the codes and I found that the system locks a record after a seek command when it returns .t.. If the seek returns .f., the first record will be locked. In a multiple users environment, there will be a problem. So Could you help !!! thanks.
