In the survey creation portion of the app, the survey creator administers (adds, edits, deletes) a table that holds each survey question as a record.

Each record is assigned an ID and the creator can specify that on a 'Yes' (or 'No') answer the survey should branch to another specified question ID.

If branching information is not specified by the creator the default behaviour will be to move to the next question in the table that has not already been answered.
There is also the ability to flag questions as a 'skip if not accessed by branching' - this allows you to have questions in the survey which will only be asked if a pre-defined answer has given to previous question.

When responding to the survey, the respondent enters an ID (in our case his/her employee ID) and then a set of question IDs and response fields are generated from the questiontable added to a table that records responses.

The respondent then starts the survey proper and the first question is presented to him on a form with options to indicate Yes or No, a field for a comment (if appropriate) and forward [Next] and backward [Previous] navigation buttons.

Pressing the [Next] button the app skips to the next record, unless there is a branch specified - in which case it seeks the appropriate question ID, and so on.
