John, I've tried the following line of code, and it works fine:

"C:\Program Files\MyApp\Start.exe" -t "Derek Chapman"

The first few lines of code in Start.exe are:

lparameters lcParam1
wait lcParam1 window

The point being that double quotes is fine; they're only used if your using long filenames with spaces in the path.
