Why do you need to use ODBC? You can map a drive on the remote PC and then reference it directly. NT will let you use UNCs in the form \\dotted IP address\ShareName to reference a folder, and the following is valid:

* Assume that the remote system is 10.0.0.2, and it shares the folder
* containing the table as "ShareName". The table is named "MyTable"
USE \\10.0.0.2\ShareName\MyTable
* You can also map the UNC to a drive letter using NET USE or the
* WNetAddConnection2() or WNetAddConnection3() API calls, or the WSH
! NET USE Z: \\10.0.0.2\ShareName
USE Z:MyTable
