I know of o lot of VFP apps (commercial and and semi commercial verticals). I can name them. The only VB stuff I've seen are back-end viewers. The only (almost big offerings) I've seen rely on DLLs to do it. It just seems easier to whip through a VFP cursor using xbase than it does to to trudge through ADO using VB

Some developers write big integrated systems and some developers write smaller programs. There are big projects - there are little projects. I can see need for VB and component development. Have not seen the scale in VB that I've seen with xBase. I have seen never-ending VB projects. I have seen VFP replacements after a lot of budget had been thrown at attempts to do it in VB. I would wager that a lot of VFP projects will open, once the principals realize (ar finally admit) that the solution is just a bit much for VB.
