Dorris, I had the same requirement in my early 2.x days of foxpro. The system was located on a Novell Server, but required data from a UNIX box. So at night I transferred the data via an automated FTP. Both to and from as the Unix Box required data from the Novell server.
So FTP was my answer.
If you require a visual listing you could use a UNIX web server that would serve up the files in certain directories for you to choose from or put to.
Look on the Web for a program called WS_FTP this is a program I used to transfer files from a UNIX box to mapped Novel Drives on my machine.
