I believe that what we're doing with VFP is a statement that we in Microsoft believe is going to help the development community. The energy we're spending here is because we're interested in VFP and in our customers. We're responding to the feedback of many of you.

The fact that we can ship the product with features that customers want, as well as at the timeframe when it's appropriate to ship applications that customers are building today and need the features and stability, is a move clearly looking towards helping the community. The reason why we're doing what we're doing is because we're looking to ensure that on the "road ahead" customers that use VFP are well served and served on a timely basis with a full-featured and stable product.

BTW, thanks to all of you for the feedback. We're reading carefully all the comments from you and are taking all your opinions very seriously and carefully.
