Each printer make/model has it's own set of codes to change letters and fonts. Many printers use Epson and IBM compatible codes so it may appear that the same codes work for different printers.

Try changing the Deskjet emulation to use the codes that you have programmed.If you cannot change the emulation, you may have to use different codes depending on which printer is installed.
