I have used the LeadTools OCR (Xerox) technology from within VFP, there are some issues with the Image control and scrollbars but I wrapped all this functionality up into a C++ Automation server. All the OCR code and profiles however are pure VFP.

It should be said that the new version has beefed up the OCR significantly.
