Hello

I am currently working on a client server application with Oracle 8.0.
I use remote views and SPT, not ADO. The performance of Remote Views and SPT is great and it enables you to programm in native VFP-style.

Controlling your buffers is a bit more difficult. You have to choose your buffering methods and the properties of "cursorsetprop" well.

Oracle uses SQL Plus and it's very user friendly. Try to install a user-friendly DBA-tool, though, like "TOAD".

Good luck!

Question: How do I pass a GENERAL FIELD to a Oracle database? (I want to fill a Oracle BLOB-field with a VFP-report file, so I can update reports at various client sites from a central database) Any help is welcome. Thanks!
