Thanks again. VFP accepts the command OK. FYI it does not squelch the grid and other popups from MSFilter though. We may just have to live with that.

I may try some other MS Automation with VFP where I'll temporarily add a menu to a word tool bar while I'm letting the user edit the document and remove it afterward. I'd appreciate it you or anyone else could point me to any samples of such code. TIA. Have a nice day.
