Hi Fred
>Let me try it with a remote view... I tried it with SQL7 and it worked just fine, but with a remote view of a DBF table it does not. A local view works, so I'm not quite sure exactly what the difference is between a remote view and a local view of .DBF table. Could you use local views or is this something other than .DBF tables?
We're actually using SQL Passthrough - this was just an example to show the effect.
Our application can work with VFP, SQL Server or Oracle as the backend, so our code has to be fairly generic - we can't branch off and have different code for Visual FoxPro tables at this stage.
This is actually version 2 of our software - I think previous versions allowed you to view a module as a minimum, so there was never a chr(0) issue previously.
Best.
Matt.
