According to:
http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/today/requested.htmlOnly about 11 of the top 50 sites are running Windows. Now, those statistics are sort of bogus anyway (and not just for shopping sites), because even if a certain URL is utilizing a given OS, that doesn't mean all of their web processing uses that OS. Sites could easily be offloading processing to all kinds of back-end horsepower...
I was impressed to see that eBay uses IIS on Windows...I wonder if all of their processing is done on Windows machines? Impressive if that is the case!
