In the January 1998 Release SELECT CD from Microsoft (Burgundy) contains the following:
Server Components:
Personal Web Server (Windows 95 Only)
Active Server Pages
Frontpage Server Extensions
Client Components:
Visual Interdev Client
Image Composer 1.0
Media Manager 1.0
etc.
What we did is we installed according to the above order, Personal Web Server, then Active Server Pages, then Frontpage Server Extensions. Recently, we've installed Visual Interdev 6 from the Visual Studio 6 SELECT CD, and I was wondering if there are any updates to the Active Server Components shown above. Or does Visual Interdev 6.0 overwrites the previous components?
And since there's a newer PWS which we've installed, (the previous PWS showed a white and green icon on the system tray while the new one shows a hand holding a paper with a sparkling globe (?)), should we install newer ASP Server Components? If so, which CD?
>What do you mean by ASP? You can use VInterdev to create your ASP pages.
