Avoid criticism and give positive suggestions. Don't expect to hear a detailed strategy back from them -- but they seem very open to hear good, solid suggestions.

In the case of internal marketing, it's a bit tough not to be critical of what's occurred in the past. I think, however, that if the criticism is constructive, that both Robert and Ricardo will consider it in the manner it's presented.
