I am hoping someone has or can provide code for setting fields, with default values, back to a field state of 3 when appending a new record. The fields with default values receive a status of 4 (new and edited). I want the new record to appear (new with no edits even though default values were applied) so if the user cancels the add, they will not receive a "Save Changes" prompt when they haven't changed anything themselves. I am using buffered views for my data access and would like the code to determine which fields have default values associated and automatically set them to field state 3.
