By the way, make sure to use SETFLDSTATE to reset the values before saving or the default values will not save.

>I am under the assumption that Mere Mortals has a mechanism that sets fields with default values back to a field state of 3 when appended so the framework checks for new and empty are accurate - especially when the user wants to cancel their add and not get the "Save Changes" prompt when they haven't changed anything. I have some complicated default values that must be applied after the record is appended and must set the field state to 3 myself. I was looking for the framework routine that does this for coding ideas. I have found routines for primary keys. I can't find it for default values. Is it there, and if so, where?
