>>I am using RawPrint to print legal contracts on Okidata 320 Turbo printers. On several of my users machines the printer drivers are disappearing. By that, I mean if you go into the printers folder there are no printer drivers visible. The program at this point will have locked up as it is trying to access a non existing driver. If you try to install a new driver the system says there are no ports available to install printers. If the machine is shut down and rebooted the drivers are all there. Has anyone else had this happen and --- please ---- is there a way to keep it from recurring??? Thanks.

We've had this happen ever so often - normally the NT Server losses communication due to a PC network card "chatter" - replaced the card to fix.

Also had communications set incorrectly in a hosts file - can be found by Pinging your server by name from the workstation and notice if the TCP/IP remains constant - if it changes from ping to ping then correct the hosts file.

And, if the TCP/IP of the workstation is not correctly set another workstation with an identical IP address could cause connection loss.

If the Printer is being dropped by all Network Workstations, you probably have a bad jetdirect card in the printer.

Happy Hunting
