Cathy and Al had good suggestions, but I've had the same problem when the font size was different (or one bold the other not). Also be sure that both are right-justified in addition to being numeric type.

>I have a detail amount field, and then a footer amount field that sums the detail amount field. when the report prints the two amounts are not exactly lined up. the footer field is shifted just ever so slightly to the left. It is driving me crazy. I have cut and then pasted the detail to create the summary, I have formatted aligned to the right edges, i have formatted sized to widest and everything else to try and make them identical so that they would line up exactly.
