Thanks Joe, I appreciate the help, though the coding looks heavy going. I'll run the code and that will help me understand it. I was really stumped on that one, the books I have on VB were no help. I knew it could be done somehow, because the MSChart.ocx plug-in can do it. I used this charting plug-in at first but then found it wouldn't let me do all the things I wanted to, so I ditched it and coded my own charting procedures which work fine for me.

I found that by sending my Pset and Line commands to a dummy object in the first instance, I could then reassign the object to either a form or the printer and that let me have vector drawings on the printer rather than a bitmap being sent to it. I was left with the Clipboard bitmap problem, but hopefully I can get round that now. Thanks again, Robert
