I suspect that since MS probably figures that C/C#/C++ or VB will be your "second" choice, they (marketing) don't give a hoot about whether you drop VFP or not ... And an "enterprise" copy of C or VB is worth more than a copy of VFP to them also.

I was once blown away to learn there were only 6 people working on C++ MFC, and that was from the team's Lead; that would mean: there are "how many people" working on VFP ?
