I agree that IDS Mail does make sending email relatively easy. I don't think Jerry strongly enough states the challenges that Lotus Notes can present. It's never been a show stopper, but leave yourself plenty of time to work through the issues.
Usually it's the prefixes and suffixes to the email address which hang us up. Again, we've always managed to get it to work, but it frequently has taken hours, depending on the implementation of Notes. So have patience if things don't work right away.
Good luck!
>>Does anyone have any experience using Lotus Notes for sending email messages from Visual FoxPro? I have created automatic email functions using Microsoft Outlook but my client would like to have the option of using Lotus Notes.

>We have been sending e-mail from our VFP apps to Lotus Notes for a few years. We use IDSMail to do this. IDSmail makes it really easy to send mail to Lotus Notes. Most of the difficulties we have experienced are things related to Notes.
