I don't like these standards. All things should have meaningful names so that code is self documenting. The m. is not unreliable, programmers may be unreliable but the m. is not. m. is THE method of differentiating between fields and memvars of the same name. m. works even when there is code or data from outside systems. I feel that no variable should ever have a single character name, even loop control vars should have meaningful names.
