This is how the combo is set right now.

I tried so many settings that I'm loosing sight of what I'm doing :).

What I would like is to display Box (in the combo and the grid) and store 1 (which would be invisible in both combo and grid) to the database. I'm beginning to think to use a workaround and use 2 columns (one visible for Box and one invisible for 1).

>hope u have set the current control to combo box in the grid's column property. Change the sparse in the column which contains combo box to true and make the combo box bound property .t. u will get the answer.
