Are the pictures in the General field linked to a file or embedded? If there are embedded, you have to get them out of the General field and into a file, where Word can find and use them.

I have some code that can do that but it only works for BMPs. This code, I believe, was written by Pablo Roca. If you like, I'll email it to you...it's too long to post here.
