Steve:
I also got a suggestion from Steve Sawyer on CIS to use Delete Tag All. I made a local change it seems to have resolved the problem, but I'd sure like to know the difference between
Close Indexes
erase (somefile.cdx)
And
Delete Tag All
I'm hoping that someone can tell me that after all of the tags are gone, the file gets closed AND the Erase/Delete/Removal process from the disk does a flush buffers or checks to see that the file is actually closed, flushed and ready to remove. IMO, such a process is much more efficient when done under the table in the language's instruction than as in-line code in VFP.
Thanks,
Mike
