You may have a corrupted record, memo field, or index. Seems strange that you only have this problem in VFP6, and not the others.

Try re-indexing, by removing all the tags and recreating them, or copying the table to a new table via COPY (this could pose a problem since it's part of a database). Try doing a PACK and/or PACK MEMO.
