I don't know if this will help but i was trying to do a bit of a reverse situation recently.

The problem was that i wanted different names for my objects of whicvh there was a dynamic number.

In foxpro I was sure I could do this by using the macro substitution on the names. Try looking at the "&" command in the visual foxpro help
