DVD viewing is pants with the beta release they have out at present... Also a faster processor and motherboard wouldn't go amiss - I am current massaging my wife's good nature!!! Read that however you wish!!!

I had run into similar problems with a Savage4 video board (and the wife, too!). Got disgusted with the usability of beta drivers, etc, so I finally took the Savage4 board back and replaced it with one that used a TNT2 chipset. Worked right out of the box with W2K drivers. The Savage4 was never able to actually run a DVD video, but at least it did stop crashing.
