Exactly Sam, and that in fact is the best solution. I have an index by date, a small parent table indexed by date too, and a big child table, linked by date in the dataenvironment. One the user selects a date, i seek the value in the small table, and execute a grid refresh, and it works lightning-fast. The problem will be if i'll try to add some filter condition to something that is not indexed. There, i guess, i think i'll opt for the views solution.
