Jim,

I am glad I am not the only one who has experienced these problems. This is not a lesson I will forget anytime soon. It just doesn't make logical sense why you would need to have printer drivers installed to view a report. *shrug* Lots of stuff doesn't make logical sense to me these days.

Thank you for your reply. I will remember it with wordprocessors too.

>My notebook is set up with 2 printers, both through the network (and no other). I started a new contract a coupla days ago and needed Word2000, which I had just installed at home on the weekend.
>When I brought it up (Word2000) at the client's office I got an error on startup. After a bit of fiddling I decided to use Word97. Same thing! So I resorted to WordPad. Same thing!
>Since it offered me the opportunity to debug, I finally took it. A module named "HPxxxxxxxx" was raising an error accessing location 0. "HO" says I to myself sound like a printer problem. Went to printers and of course neither was available. I couldn't remove the "use as default" for reasons unknown. I thought that installing a local printer might get me out of the dilemma. Did so and was able to set it to default.
