Do you charge a higher rate? Do you charge for travel time even though you're charging mileage? Do you charge for all meals? For how many hours a day do you bill? Etc.

I charge a flat per-day rate that's a little more than 8 times my hourly rate, on the basis that when I'm there, I'm going to put in a lot of hours. The daily rate is so we don't have to worry about tracking breaks and what's billable time and what's not.

The client pays for my time during travel, as well as the travel expenses, including airfare, hotel and meals.
