I have written a major pharmaceutical package in Foxpro 2.6 for DOS. At the time we set them up with a Novell 3.12 server.
All user stations were DOS 6.2

As the program grew and the number of files increased, we had to increase the files=?? in config.sys.
At one point we had to increase the FILE HANDLES= parameter in the NET.CFG file as well. The NET.CFG is the configuration for the ipx protocol. The max file handles between both of them are 254.

They recently moved over to a new windws 2000 network. Most users are using Windows 2000 client with no issues. The problem is that there are DOS stations still connected to this system. (they are used for remote users using pc/Anywhere). We have increased files in config.sys but the program errors out.
We are looking for the FILES HANDLES= equivilant for the windows 2000 DOS tcp/ip client.

Is there any information you can help me with?
