One recent use for &command comes to mind. I have a generic audit trail trimming utility that is data driven. Since many of my audit trails tables contain a combination of several different processes, I have additional fieldname&value pairs in my maintenance table besides the date-fieldname.
Anyway, I build the delete command line using a loop through those fieldname/value pairs to constrain the delete.
Hmm, that reminds me, I need an audit trail for the audit trail maintenance utility.. rofl
