I do not know what happen to last message

Can someone help me on a problem I have observed with the combobox under fox pro 5.0a. The problem might not be a problem but I need some in sight into what I have observed. When useing a combobox and the record contains data defined as character type field but the data is 01, 02, 03, 04, 09 when you look at the records on the left side of the combobox the records go blank after the first couple of records. I am trying to see if it just happens to me or does anyone might know what is happening. Is it a microsoft known bug or not. How can I get around the problem I know not everone who uses combobox in their limits their data set to be charactor based only.
